Consilience’s Under Our Beds is a masterfully crafted, piano driven record. Consilience is the project of former Edmontonian, Tasy Hudson. She made us wait a long time for this record but it was worth it. Beautifully arranged piano melodies stand out front and are the foundation for Tasy’s silky sultry vocals. Her voice is captivating, one can’t help but draw comparisons to Lisa Lobsinger. The percussion is a perfect accompaniment to the piano, never taking over yet adding so much texture to each track. Small flourishes of trumpet and violin enhance select tracks while still finding the perfect amount of restraint to allow Tasy’s voice and piano shine.
