Carey Mercer is one of Canada’s best vocalists. That is a sentence that may have never been written but it is completely true. I don’t know of too many people that can evoke such emotion with just a voice. Most of the time I have no idea what the hell he’s singing about and yet I still feel emotionally invested. On this album he added luscious string arrangements that seem to suit Frog Eyes perfectly. It’s a flawless step in a different direction. Check it out.
