Video Premiere: Soul Mates - Burning Bright

Tomorrow will see the release of the Cups N Cakes Compilation Cassette. The packaging was designed to mimic a box of Crayola Crayons while the tape is hand-numbered and also coloured to resemble the crayons that should be found inside. Each artist/band recorded an exclusive song just for this release. It was curated to be slightly eclectic with tracks that range from folk to hardcore to experimental. Today we are ecstatic to premiere a video for the heaviest song on the compilation.

Soul Mates hail from Saskatoon and play loud music that falls somewhere in between noise rock and hardcore. Their debut album Snake Oil turned a lot of heads and got them nominated for a WCMA in the heavy category. We are so pleased they contributed to the comp with a track called Burning Bright. We were shocked to learn that they would be doing a video for this exclusive song and humbled upon first watch to see they carried the Crayola Crayon theme into their video.
