Video Premiere: Meanlife - "Ready 2 Spark"

Toronto’s Meanlife put out their debut album this past August. Entitled Bad Vibes In The Womb, it would have made our list of releases that “Slipped Through The Cracks”, but sadly that article had already been completed before we heard it. Luckily, this new indie rock band reached out to us and now we get to premiere the video for a brand new single called “Ready 2 Spark”. The new song is quite different than their debut release, the track has a psychedelic country sound that shows there’s more to Meanlife than one might expect. Featuring backup vocals by Toronto songwriter Sara May (Falcon Jane), and their first experiment with pedal steel, Meanlife gallop into country territory with the reckless abandon of a gunslinger riding into battle.
