Single Premiere: Cassidy Waring - Leaving

Cassidy Waring caught our attention with her single “Nostalgia” that was recently featured as a “Quick Pick”. She makes modern folk music that is open, honest, and vulnerable. “Nostalgia” was the first of four singles to be released over this winter. Today we are pleased to be premiering the second single called “Leaving”. All four songs deal with the bittersweet ache of remembrance. Her candid lyrics are a breath of fresh air and she has taken the idea of vulnerability to new heights by also creating a community all about connection and truly seeing one another.

She states:

“By sharing our stories honestly, ditching the fear and filters, and practicing vulnerability, we can see that we aren't alone in our struggles. I want to normalize real, honest, human conversations. I support us being open about mental health, trauma, family, addiction, sex and anything else we find ourselves ashamed to talk about.”
