Winterruption YEG Finalizes Lineup
Edmonton’s inaugural Winterruption YEG festival has announced 25 more artists for the winter event taking place January 23-26. In addition to headliners GZA, Ezra Furman, No Age, Coleman Hell, Partner, Bully, Brian Posehn, Begonia & Weaves, new additions include:
Toronto electro-duo Prince Innocence
Edmonton rockabilly legends Raygun Cowboys (performing a free all-ages event at Abbey Glen Park)
Portland punks Broadway Calls,
Indigenous soundscape maker Matthew Cardinal
A free event with The Dice Cubes and The Califonia Cure
Edmonton’s indie-rock songstress, Marlaena Moore joining Partner, 36?, and Jet Power at the recently announced 9th venue for the festival, Yellowhead Brewery.
Other artists include Ntwali, The Faps, Feed Dogs, Slut Prophet, Good Rumour, Shag, Sunglaciers, Mickey Green, Dylan Ella, Jenesia, twig, Counterfeit Jeans, Keltie, Carter & The Capitals, Cristian de La Luna, Iron Eyes, Lindsey Walker & David Jay - the Spaniard.
The winter festival takes place in multiple downtown Edmonton venues including The Starlite Room, Temple, Freemasons Hall, Downtown Edmonton Community League, The Cask & Barrel, Rocky Mountain Icehouse, Station on Jasper, Yellowhead Brewery, and an outdoor event in Abbey Glen Park on 102st and Jasper Avenue.
