New Motherhood Release + Western Canada Dates
Today we are very excited to bring you some Motherhood related news. This Fredericton trio released the phenomenal Dear Bongo, in 2019 (which was named our #1 album of 2019!), and now we have news of two incredibly unique releases and some shows to got along with them.
First we get a new EP entitled, Live From Sedalia, which will be available on March 1st digitally, and as a limited edition VHS cassette. Pre-orders are available here. The live EP comes with a lovely story:
"In March 2019, we responded to a cold-call from a stranger in Colorado who wanted to record us. We knew very little about this person or their vibes, but we drove 30 mins from Denver to the mountainy village of Sedalia, CO. There we met Carmine, Xadie & the Frank Captures Magic crew, and ATV’d our gear into a wood cabin with a colourful history. We met wonderful folks & dogs and spent a day writing, recording, and hanging out with new friends."
In addition to the VHS, Motherhood are also announcing a “Direct-To-Vinyl Live Session”, lathe-cut 7”. This extremely fun release allows you to choose your own live single to have put to 7”. You can pick from four different songs, including “Bird Chirp” from 2019’s Dear Bongo. Pre-order your personalized 7” here.
Finally, we are extremely excited to announce that Motherhood will be hitting the road in February and the Cups N Cakes Network will be presenting the Edmonton show at Sewing Machine Factory! The show will also feature Fitness (who made our list of the Most Anticipated Albums Of 2020), and Trace Italian (which is the project of Cups N Cakes own Sean Newton).
