Single/Video Premiere: Dear Friend - "Who'd Ya Write About"

Calgary duo Dear Friend were conceived over 3:00 am pints. Annie da Silva and Bobby Henderson carried the spontaneity of their formation into the studio for their debut release by creating and recording each track over the course of a day. Six songs, six days and Dying Days was born. The EP is being released via Kamloops imprint Factotum Cassettes & Oddities digitally on August 28th and in cassette form late September. Today the Cups N Cakes Network is pleased to premiere the video for the second single, "Who'd Ya Write About."

The track carries on Dear Friend’s 70's infused pop sound. They blend heartfelt lyrics with upbeat music that you'd likely have heard at a BBQ when the Flames were still playing in Atlanta. The video shows the band out for a light-hearted romp at a Calgary brewery. Keep an eye open for cameos from numerous Calgary artists including Wyatt C. Louis and Matt Doherty (The Dudes, RALEIGH ).
