Single Premiere: Greg Orrē - "Always Carry"
Too Soon Monsoon frontman Greg Orrē is preparing his debut solo album for release this Friday, August 28th. His solo songcraft differs mainly because he wrote these songs on the guitar and not the piano, of which he is classically trained. Having just learnt the guitar in 2018, he decided to take on the challenge of writing songs on a new instrument. A 2019 songwriting camp called “Song 4 Nature” facilitated by JUNO nominee Megan Nash helped him earn the confidence he needed. After attending the retreat, he returned to his hometown of Saskatoon, inspired by his time in nature with like-minded songwriters, and began writing many of the songs that would end up on his solo debut, I Am In It Volume One.

Greg is currently in the process of preparing to release his first poetry book (October 2020), and finish recording Volume Two (Spring 2021 planned release). The two poetry companion books will be shared in between the three album releases: I Am In It: a collection of poems includes over 80 poems and associated sketches & images compiled from May-Sept 2018, and another poetry book tentatively titled I Am In It (isolation) includes over 30 poems written and reflected on during the thirty days of April 2020.
