Single Premiere: Nature Walk - "Real One"

Teenage Wedding was a Victoria band that we adored. Sadly we recently learnt that they disbanded due to a couple members moving away from BC’s lovely capital city. Thankfully, we didn’t have long to wait for new projects to emerge because today we are pleased to share Nick Joy’s new electro acoustic project, Nature Walk.

Nick Joy played guitar and sang in Teenage Wedding and also in Zuzu’s Petals. He created Nature Walk initially as a dark synth-pop performance project but quickly focused inward into recording many different genres and sounds. 

Nature Walk’s debut EP, King Of Wands, will be released on September 22nd. Utilizing themes of romance and gardening, it focuses on finding bliss in the mundane and spiritual connection in simple places.

Today the Cups N Cakes Network is ecstatic to introduce you to this new band with an exclusive premiere of “Real One”. This love song is about romantic love sitting outside of heteronormative expectations. The tracks protagonist expresses their concern to the partner of a man who they love. Enjoy!
