Premiere: GG Love - It Could Still Be A Win
GG Love is a Montreal-based art-pop duo consisting of songwriter Georgia Graham and guitarist-composer James Player. Synths, drum machines, and layers upon layers of guitar texture create a lush soundscape for hook-heavy vocals that smash together classic pop melodies with an experimental aesthetic.
Six years out from the release of their debut album we are finally getting some new music from this fantastic band that we actually discovered when they played the Cups N Cakes four year anniversary concert in 2018. The new release will arrive on November 26th and it is a six song effort entitled How Do You Define Love?
The album was created by James Player improvising guitar parts to harmonize with Georgia Graham’s vocals. Player then crafted additional sounds with what he refers to as a “graveyard of gear”, like a reel-to-reel breaking down or a delay pedal malfunctioning. A rich library genre-eclectic influences act as muse to GG Love on this record, keeping the listener on their toes for nods to warm sounds from the past.
