Premiere: Juice - Golden

Long-time members of the Saskatchewan folk/indie scene and best friends Julia McDougall and Kristina Hedlund have emerged from the pandemic with a new project called Juice. McDougall, now based in Vancouver, has recently been releasing lush dream-pop as Yawn, while Hedlund is known for her time in the much loved (but now defunct) alt-pop juggernauts - Rah Rah.

Last spring the two artists participated in the Canadian Songwriting Challenge, where they received funding to create a single on the theme of "Golden Hour." What emerged was a sad love song with a highly danceable pop aesthetic.
