Premiere: Sun Junkies - Say What You Say
Sun Junkies are a four-piece from Brantford, Ontario, who play jangly garage-pop tunes perfect for melting away your worries.
Formed in 2016 by singer/guitarist Noah Carmichael, the band found their stride in 2018 by solidifying their lineup that features bassist Issa Mohammad, drummer Nick Stacy, and guitarist Ethan Silver. Personifying true DIY spirit, they wrote recorded, and self released their debut album, Technicolor Daydream in 2019. Remaining determined in spite of the global pandemic, they took advantage of the music world screeching to a halt to write and record their upcoming EP, Unconventional Methods of Transportation, which is due for release July 16th 2021. The release deals with the profound significance a single decision has on the larger scope of one’s life while examining people’s ulterior motives on which they base their decisions, and how everything means more than it might seem.
Today we are excited to be able to share the second single from the seven track release. The song is called “Say What You Say” and its infectious melody is sure to be stuck in your head for days.
