Premiere: Shebear - Still Warm (Mark Mills Remix)

Claudia Tomczyk spent over eight years in Calgary rock band, The Sweets, before emerging during the pandemic under the alter-ego, Shebear. The new project is a noticeable departure, gone are the funky bluesy stylings of her former band with a fuzzy dream-pop sound emerging that is punctuated by raw, emotional lyrics that hold intense feelings of yearning and vulnerability. 

 Over the span of just under a year, Tomczyk released four incredibles singles under the Shebear moniker. Each track is as impressive as the next and catapulted her onto our radar. Today we are very excited to deliver an exclusive premiere of a remix by fellow Calgarian, Mark Mills, for the track “Still Warm.”

The remix came to be over the lengthy stretch of Calgary's third covid lockdown when Shebear reached out to Mark Mills to do an online collaboration. Solid acquaintances from the local Calgary music scene, it turned out to be a match made in electronic dance heaven.
