Release Premiere: Soul Boner - Liliana's Divorce

The Cups N Cakes Network is very excited to introduce Canada to a wild new duo from Toronto called Soul Boner.

Comprised of close friends Ryan Al-Hage and Nara Wriggs (both staples in the Toronto music and film communities in their own right), Soul Boner fuse lofi punk with hyperpop. Their debut EP is called Liliana’s Divorce and it will be out tomorrow through Vain Mina, one of our favourite small labels in Toronto, run by Eliza Niemi (Niemi was a member of the now defunct band, Mauno. Her latest solo-release, Glass, was on our list of the “Best EPs of 2020”).

Today we are very excited to deliver an exclusive premiere of the whole EP! Clocking in a just over 5 minutes, Liliana’s Divorce smashes the senses with frenetic lofi punk noise that breaks away into masterful moments of musical clarity while Wriggs’ spoken word vocals employ dry witticism to throw societal jabs. What more to say, you gotta hear this EP!
