Premiere: Ultra Mega - Motorbrains

We broke the news on Monday in our “Most Anticipated of 2022” article that the new Ultra Mega album will be arriving on February 4th. The album is called Panis Angelicus and it moves Ultra Mega into different territory with storytelling, stream-of-consciousness lyrics over a laid-back country sound. The album features seven songs, six of which have accompanying music videos.

We reported on Monday that the Cups N Cakes Network will be premiering a new video every Wednesday up until the album drops on the 4th. We already did two such premieres in 2021 for the songs “Goodbye, Felicia” and “The Breeze Is Beckoning,” and today we are delivering the third.

The song is called “Motorbrains” and it tells the story of a rage-fuelled neighbour that frontman JD Ormond had while growing up in Winnipeg. The video carries on the theme started with the first two videos of a day in the life of West End Winnipeger.
