Premiere: Mother Sun - Memory Banker

The psychedelic Kamloops quartet, Mother Sun, have been favourites of the Cups N Cakes Network for years. We covered both their debut album, Caramel Clouds, as a “Quick Pick” and their follow-up, SIPS, as a “Pick Of The Week,” and we are very excited for the upcoming release of their third record, Train Of Thought.

The album is out this Friday (Oct 28th) and is their best work to date. Teaming up with Felix Fung at Little Red Sounds proved a perfect match as Fung demanded perfection of the band and recommended acquiring seasoned Vancouver jazz veterans and the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra to provide lush strings and soaring horns to deliver Mother Sun’s skilled arrangements to new heights.
