Premiere: Vanden Dool - You Will Not Love Me Forever

Born and raised on the windswept prairie hills of Lethbridge, Alberta, Ty Vanden Dool has been crafting indie synth-pop with new wave and bedroom-pop leanings. Under the name Vanden Dool he has released a self-titled full length in 2019 (which was listed as one of our favourite releases that “Slipped Through The Cracks” that year) and a 2020 EP titled The View From Here, which was reviewed as a “Quick Pick” upon its release.

Last fall, Vanden Dool wrapped up production on a two-song single: "You Will Not Love Me Forever", his most collaborative official release yet with backing vocals and violin by fellow Lethbridge-originated artist Makiisma. In the aftermath of moving to Calgary and despite an uncertain future for live music (his Alberta release shows for this single had to be cancelled), Vanden Dool will release this melancholic pair of songs on February 9th, just in time for Valentine's Day.
