Premiere: Alien To The Ignorant - Give Up

Hot off the heels of their fantastic debut album, Saskatchewan hardcore band, Alien To The Ignorant return with another blistering assault of the senses. Today’s new single/video comes with the announcement of a new drummer joining the band and an upcoming tour.

The tour details are not 100% ironed out yet but we can report that Johnny Becker joined shortly after the bands last tour in November 2021. He is also known for his role as drummer in Saskatoon hardcore death band Thalass.

Regarding the new track and its accompanying video, the band states:

“The music video is mostly about the unwillingness of those in positions of power to change anything about themselves or their decisions despite the obvious pitfalls and shortcomings evident in contemporary society. The pink suits and and the initial joyous camaraderie are supposed to be metaphors for performative activism and peace, when in fact those in power almost always hide their true intentions and secret agendas—of which often have negative implications for the people around and below them. The skeleton is supposed to represent their “final form” of dead, soulless, and apathetic beings trying to make themselves appear the opposite. You can rewrite this stuff however it makes the most sense to you.”
