Slut Prophet, Lev Snowe, Mully & Sculder, Crown

Slut Prophet - Pity Party

The latest release from Calgary’s own Slut Prophet takes tongue-in-cheek to the next level. Pity Party spits in the face of societal norms with a six song dose of severe sarcasm that is aided by abrasive riffs and dissonance.

Lev Snowe - Someday Soon

Winnipeg musicians always seem to thrive on the long and hard winters and then along comes Lev Snowe, popping up out of the studio with a work of art that proves that theory right. The brand new EP, Someday Soon is pleasantly psychedelic and dreamy.

Mully & Sculder - “The Moon”

Not only do Mully & Sculder employ one of my favourite types of humour with their name, they also know how to establish a mood. Their new single, “The Moon” (released today), uses synths and smooth digital delay to set the stage for Sarah Wheeler’s captivating vocals.

Crown - ST

Crown dishes out a decisive blow with some sludgy punk tracks that are short and to the point.  There is literally no messing around here whatsoever.  Well… maybe some messing around went into the making of this grime, but in this case the end justifies the means.
