Worldcamp, No Problem, B.Michaael, & Dust
Qurantunes Part II
We are pleased to bring you another round of Quick Picks where each release was recorded and released while in isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic. Go back and check out “Quarantunes Part I” here.
Worldcamp - “Isolation”
Worldcamp is a collaboration of over twenty musicians in Canada and all over the world who each contributed remotely to the recording of “Isolation”. The funds from the downloads will all be going to Food Banks Canada to help those who need it most in these trying times.
No Problem - “It’s My Pain” (Panic)
Edmonton punk rockers, No Problem, know how to boot the boring blues to the curb and it involves learning some of their favourite tunes and kicking butt. The first in their weekly series is a ripping little ditty called “It’s My Pain” by band called Panic.
B.Michaael - aapril
In the month that has lasted a year, B.Michaael hunkered down and fashioned an EP that captures the heavy feelings of anxiety hanging over so many people right now. With wavering dissonance and veiled harmony aapril will be remembered for the toll it took.
Dust - AMATEUR
On the eve of the quarantine David Cutting took the advice of a friend to record an album and totally ran with it. Having no previous writing and recording experience wasn’t going to stop them, in fact it fuelled the creative process and that fun attitude shines through in full.
