Timbuktu, Atsuko Chiba, Timid the Brave, and Mark Amadeus Flowerdew

Timbuktu – It’s Alright In The Daylight

Toronto-based producer and songwriter Timbuktu comes full force with his newest release, It’s Alright In The Daylight, a 16 track hip-hop album featuring catchy instrumentals, hot bars, and an ensemble of featured artists, such as Bazooka Joe, Ghettosocks, and Aquakultre, amongst others. This is a great release to itch your craving for some good rap.

Atsuko Chiba – Quick Infant Guilt

An experimental blend of hip-hop and noise-pop, Quick Infant Guilt is the newest release from Montreal based group Atsuko Chiba, a group that blends music from the trinity of time – past, present, and future – to form an expedition towards the edge of genre constrictions and innovation, and invites us listeners to come along.

Timid, the Brave – Vuja De

From Hamilton, Ontario, Timid, The Brave writes “simple indie-folk songs with a strong lyrical focus”, and this style is seen best in his third album, Vuja De. With lyrical complexity chalk-full of metaphor and poetic beauty, and all wrapped in a soft acoustic package, this album takes time to slow down and allow room for introspection and interpretation.

Mark Amadeus Flowerdew – Let’s Go

One of the most optimistic albums I’ve heard in a while, Let’s Go is the newest release from Mark Amadeus Flowerdew, a musician hailing from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. A bright mix of gospel, folk, pop, and ragtime, Flowerdew creates a lighthearted listening experience tantamount to a sunshine-filled walk on a warm summer’s morning.
