Best Album Art of 2022
As the world of music moves deeper and deeper into a “stream-only” realm, the importance of good cover artwork dwindles. Thankfully a surge in vinyl popularity is helping keep the idea of captivating artwork at the forefront of people’s minds. Artwork is incredibly important to the overall aesthetic of an album. It is supposed to help further extend the musician’s statement into an additional artistic realm and amp-up the power of their work. Typically this is done with the help of additional individuals who, all too often, get forgotten for their contribution to the overall piece of artwork that becomes a body of music.
Today we honour the artists behind the artists, so-to-speak. For every one of our favourite album covers, we tried our very best to track down the artist(s) that did the cover art. If you like what you see, please take the time to follow them on Instagram.
