Interstellar Rodeo Announces Lineup

The eight instalment of Edmotnon’s Interstellar Rodeo has announced their 2019 lineup. Headliner’s include Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Sharon Van Etten and Aloe Blacc. More incredible talent from south of the border includes Perfume Genius, Sheila E., Saul Williams, Asleep At The Wheel, Lucius and Southern Avenue.

As impeccable as the list of American artists may be… it is the announcement that Rheostatics will be playing this years festival that has the Cups N Cakes Team in a frenzy! The Rheostatics formed in 1978, and stayed active for nearly three decades. Having reformed in 2016, they were immediately added to music nerds “must-see” lists. Music nerds who can’t wait to see this iconic band once more and those who where too young to know of their existence until it was too late. Widely (if not, unanimously) considered one of Canada's most influential rock bands, their performance at this years Interstellar Festival is NOT to be missed.

Other fellow Canadians announced to play the festival this year are K’naan, Weaves, Whitehorse, Zaki Ibrahim and Edmonton locals Major Love.
