Release Premiere: HOLY COW 3.0
A new independent label is popping up in Kamloops, BC. Over the past few year, this small city in BC’s interior has begun to burst with talented musical acts so it could only be expected that we’d see new labels emerge. Jared Doherty and Emilio Pagnotta (of Kamloops band Mother Sun) have teamed up to create Divine Bovine Records.
Today we are excited to give you an exclusive listen to HOLY COW 3.0 which is the third mixtape they’ve released since the labels inspection. While the first two HOLY COW mixtapes were digital only free releases, the third is being made into a limited run of 75 tapes.
The 12 song tracklist features songs from album that we’ve loved this year. It boasts music from Laverne’s Lack of Vocation, Speak Easy’s Rainbow River, and Wrecked Beach’s Eye Tide. All three of those albums were featured at the Cups N Cakes Network as “Picks Of The Week.”
The release also features some other CnC favourites. HAAGS, Mother Sun, The Houses (Where We Grew Up), Echo Beach, and Elsewhere all donated brand new tracks to this incredible mixtape.
Physical cassette copies will be available at a few record stores in BC in November 2020, including Barnacle Records in Kamloops. Listen to the entire mixtape below and hit that “pre-order” button!
