Single Premiere: Gus Davidson - "Toad"

When Gus Davidson isn’t playing in the dream-pop band Caves, he’s busy making electronic music influenced by house, ambient, new age, and the local electronic/experimental scene found in his hometown of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Davidson’s self-titled album will be out in June 2020 digitally and on cassette via Pop Quiz records. The album’s nine instrumental tracks are comprised of intricate compositions and edited improvisations. It was recorded and mixed at home using synths, a drum machine, a sampler, and multiple effect pedals meant for guitar. The cover art for the album was created by Pop Quiz founder and multidisciplinary artist Jon Vaughn.
