Video Premiere: Janette King - "In Vain"

Montreal’s Janette King delivers a silky smooth, R&B/Neo-Soul sound that will warm your heart in these trying times. Her 2019 EP, 143, is a five song release about falling in and out of love, and everything that comes with those intense emotions. We are very excited to be able to premiere the music music for the track, “In Vain”, that was produced by Jordan Esau & kelpie.

The song is about the trials of trying out a polyamorous connection for the benefit of your partner. The video, directed by Tram Nghiem, features images of King standing alone, symbolizing the loneliness of her relationship. It ends with the comfort of friends helping her through a difficult time.
