Premiere: Dark Time - "Radiation"

Calgary’s Dark Time blend elements of psych and synthpop to make a very unique brand of art-rock. The project is features songwriter Cayley O'Neill and keyboardist Eric Heitmann as permanent members with a rotating cast of different artists that are brought in to enhance the individual needs of each project they create. We are happy to announce that Dark Time are preparing to release their sophomore EP, entitled Radiation, on April 2nd and today we are ecstatic to be premiering the first single.

Radiation was recorded at Public Lunch Studios with Pat Palardy and Mastered by Saff Mastering. The EPs artwork features a painting by Heitmann referencing the work of Sigmar Polke, a german artist who experimented with a wide range of materials like arsenic, meteor dust and uranium rays. For this release O'Neill and Heitmann enlisted psych mainstays; Marie Sulkowski, Dillon Whitfield and Jared Andres. The EP is said to be a time capsule to BC times (Before Covid times) with O'Neill hoping it provides listeners with something fresh to enjoy during an isolating and difficult time.
