Video Premiere: Major Funk - Vanity

A month ago, Whitehorse, Yukon’s Major Funk unleashed their incredible debut album, Is That You?, on the world and it immediately brightened up our year. Yesterday it was named one of our Picks Of The Week, with Cups N Cakes team member, Brandon stating:

”If you’re a fan of ska, Motown, trumpets, or anything that makes you feel like Humphrey Bogart sipping martinis in a ball room, then Is That You? is an album that I would highly recommend. You’ll be dancing the whole way through and left begging for more”

On top of Brandon’s review, today we are excited to be premiering a fantastic video from Major Funk for the track “Vanity.” Unlike the video for the albums first single, “Slippin’”, this one wasn't done with a film crew but rather was created entirely by the band (with camerawork by Olivia Macdonald). The track is about addiction to social media and the expertly crafted video (filmed in one continuous shot) is an extremely fun watch.
