Premiere: Alicia Clara - Stone Like Eyes
In February of 2021, Montreal’s Alicia Clara released her debut EP, Outsider/Unusual. The bedroom-pop offering got our attention and was named a “Quick Pick” with former columnist Matthew Belton stating:
“As you walk through tall grass in white sneakers and a denim jacket, Alicia Clara’s voice breezes by and makes your hair dance in slow motion. Warm and cool at the same time like Labour Day, she captures the fading summer light. Best listened to in a big hat.”
Today we are very happy to remind our followers of this incredible release with the premiere of a music video for the track “Stone Like Eyes.”
The video was directed by Roxane Loumede, filmed by Malaika Astroga, edited by Matthew Sperkados, and styled by Tishanna Carnevale. When asked about the video and its production, Clara exclaimed:
"I made this music video with a bunch of friends, so it was a really easygoing and fun collaboration – we had a great time shooting. Roxane’s surrealist vision matched the oddness of my lyrics, putting the track into a new world of its own."
