Premiere: Augustine - Silence

In early 2023, Montreal’s Augustine will return with her sophomore offering, Neither Nightmares nor Dreams Come True. Its release will mark nearly seven years since her debut, The Devil in Me, drew the attention of Canada’s tight music industry. We are very excited to hear more of her signature dark, minimalistic folk that dabbles with touches of darkwave and electro. We are told the new album is darker and more asserted which was evident on the first single, “Slow Train,” which arrived in early September. Today the Cups N Cakes Network is excited to premiere the second single from Neither Nightmares nor Dreams Come True.

The song is called “Silence” and Augustine explained its theme to Cups N Cakes for this premiere:

"Feeling alone, incapable of reaching out, unheard and unseen is a recurrent feeling of mine, and this is what Silence is about.”
