Premiere: Doreen - The Cure For The Whip

Today the Cups N Cakes Network is very excited to announce that Edmonton art-punks, Doreen are gearing up for the release of their first album since 2019s Ruthless Severance. For the uninitiated, Doreen have been wowing audiences in their hometown for years with their unique blend of post-punk, goth-pop, and math rock. Their last album blew us away and reviewed as a “Pick Of The Week” upon its release.

Today we are very excited to announce that their new album, Feral Bloom, will arrive in time to coincide with their performance at this years Sled Island Music Festival. The bands sophomore album is their best offering to date. The band channels early post-punk, gothic rock, and contemporary art-rock to tackle themes of addiction, grief, and the end of relationships and rituals as it tries to make peace with the aftermath. We are very excited to be delivering the premiere of the albums first single, “The Cure For The Whip.”
