Premiere: Mark Scherzinger - Butler

Mark Scherzinger is a guitarist and composer originally from Sudbury, ON currently based in Toronto. He has played in a myriad of Northern Ontario Indie acts including Dirty Princes, Tofino and The Almighty Rhombus. His music spans from discordant experimental music through to fever dream funk tunes.

Today we are excited to be premiering a jazzy new track from Scherzinger called “Butler.” We caught up with him to learn more about the new single.

“‘Butler’ is the product of saccharine musical ideas assembled over the past year amidst the myriad of times in which we were unable to congregate and work on music. It features some of my favourite musicians, and nods to jazz influences as well as the grit of discordant rock songs. For me, it was an exploration of one simple idea and how far I could take it while preserving the repetition.”

“Butler” follows the first single “Tepid” in a series of alternative jazz-dipped singles, we are looking forward to hearing more from this project.
