Premiere: Shebear - SubRosa

Claudia Tomczyk used her pandemic “time-out” to dive into new music territory with her solo project, Shebear. Veering away from the high-energy pop-rock from her previous band, The Sweets, Shebear focuses on guitar-driven soundscapes to deliver a dreamy pop sound with tiny hints of shoegaze as Tomczyk wanted to explore a softer and more tender sound. The instrumentation sets a backdrop for lyrics that are raw and emotional as Tomczyk sings with the intimacy one might expect from the pages of a journal. The songs explore self-love, personal esteem, and the ever-enigmatic worlds of love, truth, and beauty.

Today we are very excited to be premiering the track “SubRosa” which follows a string of singles Shebear released from the end of 2019 to the middle of 2022.
