Premiere: Notme - Honey Tea // Late Spring
Winnipeg slocore act, Notme are preparing to release a new album called Meadows and today we are excited to be premiering its first two singles.
Frontperson Isiah Schellenberg gave Cups N Cakes some insight to these two tracks:
“Honey tea was the first song written for the last album, while late spring was the first one for the new one. I always liked the idea of recording honey tea and was happy to do this one. It was nice releasing them at the same time they are both about feeling absent.”
When discussing the forthcoming album, Schellenberg stated:
“The new album came from wanting to make something more bare bone and just using what I had at home. The last album “wildflower” was a bit more hazy while this one is more clear and open. It’s more meaningful then the last one but it’s vague enough for the listener and their interpretation.”
