Release Premiere: Swim Team - Hurricane

Vancouver’s Swim Team team return with their first release in over three years. The album is called Hurricane and it arrives today.

Known as a “genre-fluid” band, on Hurricane, Swim Team move away from the art-rock, post-punk leanings of their 2019 album, V, and explore dance and pop music. Written, recorded, and produced by the band themselves, the trio of Dorothy Neufeld, Murat Ayfer, and Nick Short took their time over the course of the pandemic to experiment with pop studio production, electronic drum beats, synthesized soundscapes and big vocal melodies. The result is something completely different than their past releases and extremely exciting.
