POP POP VERNAC, FONTINE, Plan Your Future, and Lee Paradise

POP POP VERNAC - SCREAMING EVERYWHERE

With four singers and tons of power chords, this is a tasteful mix of the lo-fi sound behind garage rock with the aggression of punk. At the end of the day, you get an album chock full of badassery and attitude, and its artsy approach also gives a bit for those avant-garde folks out there.

FONTINE - Yarrow Lover

It’s that indie folk pop you know and love, but with some lush vocals and heartfelt lyrics. Each song changes form and unfolds through its progression, like the blooming of a flower. With subtle harmonicas, acoustic guitars, and abrupt endings, it’s everything I love in an album and more.

Plan Your Future - Resolutions

This debut release from the collaborative project of John Brennan and Greg Saunier of Deerhoof fame is six tracks that are avant-garde and experimental. This is art rock at its finest, with familiar sounds placed in an unfamiliar setting, a feeling that is grasped perfectly in the album's cover art.

Lee Paradise - Steady EP

This new release from Toronto’s Lee Paradise is five tracks of art rock greatness. All of these instrumental jams give off the feeling of old television bumpers running through a drum machine. It’s a spectacular listening experience unlike any other in the way it blends sounds both old and new.
