Premiere: Seriously Fun - Don't Wake Up

Seriously Fun first arrived on our radar in 2019 with the release of their debut EP, A Place to Call Home, which we covered as a “Quick Pick.” An upbeat flare of jangly pop and alt-rock, their debut also showcased elements of post-punk and psychedelic rock. They are a band growing within their local scene in Edmonton and have become known for an incredible live show.

Today we are very happy to be premiering their first new music in two years. The track is called “Don't Wake Up" and it’s from a session the band squeezed in with Arnel Ethier at Royal Studios between waves of the pandemic. The song has a raw quality and features a few firsts for the band like the gang vocals and the use of synths.
