Damn. We sure wish we lived in the Yukon, word is you can see live music in our countries most Northern cities. How great would it be to see Whitehorse’s Major Funk unleash their debut studio album on the world on March 19th. If you’re reading this from the untamed beauty of the Yukon, don’t miss the funk-tastic album release shows at the Yukon Arts Centre. Tickets for two limited-seating live shows (7pm and 9pm PST) are available for $28 here. For the rest of us, a ‘pay-what-you-decide’ live streaming ticket option is also available.

For the uninitiated, Major Funk is exactly as their name describes… MAJOR FUNK! What can’t be understated is the deliberate nature in which this 7-piece ensemble crafts their hip shaking, feel-good tunes. The aforementioned debut studio album is called Is That You? and it was crafted expertly with the utmost scrutiny from the band. With this highly anticipated releases drawing near, the Cups N Cakes Network is honoured to be able to premiere the single, “Slippin’.”
