Video Premiere: Finding Illinois - Edge Of Town

Pulling his name from the David Berman poem The Spine of the Snowman, Finding Illinois is the solo project of Toronto based musician Chris Veres (Rough//Shapes, Hope Is Immersed). The project was created by Veres as an outlet to experiment with combining lo-fi acoustic guitar and elements of shoegaze. 

In the middle of 2021, we were honoured to introduce the world to Finding Illinois by premiering their debut single. Now, we are equally excited to get to premiere the video for the lead off track from their latest EP, Refelection, which was produced by Jesse Turnbull and features Kurt Thornley (Losers) on drums. 

The video for Edge Of Town was animated by Jason Seto, a recent graduate in Integrated Media from OCAD. Jason’s animation depicts a shadowy world where the only connection with other humans is through virtual reality portals located in abandoned parking lots… very dystopian!
