GreenWing - Late Bloomer
Now this had me bumping from the first track. This kind of stuff brings me back, man. This Saskatoon band delivers some of the heaviest indie I’ve ever laid my ears on. It’s poppy in a way that’ll take you back to the era of college rock. It warms my heart to know the love’s still there.
Affiliate Links - Enough Light
Affiliate Links is the musical moniker of Bradley Davis, a musician with over quite the number of projects under his belt. Recorded at home in the summer of ’21, this album blends some alternative indie pop in a diy package. I love each song on this album - especially the last one.
Westminster Park - Songs That Rhyme With Alone
This London, Ontario based band features a husband and wife duo that delivers some beautiful duets over some lo-fi folk. Nothing makes me smile more than love, and some of the harmonies and compositions they created together brought tears to my ears. This is an album I won’t soon forget, and neither will you.
GLAMB - Don’t Care
This debut single from Vancouver’s GLAMB is a cozy indie rock track with funky undertones. The upbeat instrumental juxtaposes the romantic lyrics delivered in such a sensual way. GLAMB is a beautiful track that delivers a haunting nostalgia for the owners of broken hearts. It’s even got a pretty awesome guitar lick towards the end.
